Boston's Run To Remember is about honoring fallen 1st Responders and their service. Each year we invite current and former 1st Responders to take part in a range of ways to pay tribute. In addition, the race has supported a number of charities and helps them raise money through runner participation.

Join us and our mission of honoring fallen 1st Responders as a  volunteer for the 2022 Boston's Run To Remember. There are opportunities May 28 and May 29th in a variety of areas including registration, water support and more!

Volunteers should report to the volunteer check-in area no later than the time listed for their assignment.

At volunteer check-in you will receive your t-shirt and attend a brief (5-10 min) informational session before you begin your assignment. At this session, you will receive detailed instructions as to your responsibilities and tour the area where you will be working.  You will meet your Team Captain and have an opportunity to ask questions.

Please stay in your assigned area. This is important in order to serve the runners in an efficient manner and as best we can.

Dress casually and prepare for unpredictable Boston weather with layers. Please wear your volunteer t-shirt at all times as your outer most layer of clothing. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes.  Bring Sunblock and/or a hat if you are working a water station along the course.

Please do not bring any backpacks or valuables with you to your assignment. All bags are subject to search by security personnel or authority of the town your volunteer job is in. We are not responsible for lost or stolen items. Also, please do not bring pets. Please note—no bags other than clear, plastic bags will be allowed inside the secure area on Seaport Blvd. on Race Day.

This is a healthy, athletic event – all volunteers will be required to obey the NO SMOKING rule.

Volunteer check in is held primarily near the Seaport Hotel, with the exception of water stations throughout the course. Please contact your team captain to determine where your water station is meeting.

Ample surface lots are available within a few minutes walking distance of the Seaport World Trade Center Boston for a nominal fee. We encourage carpooling with fellow participants.

We strongly recommend parking in lots south of Seaport Blvd. Parking lots on the waterside of Seaport Blvd. are within the racecourse and will not re-open until the race is finished. Public transportation is also encouraged.
